Pretty sure that the freak accident would’ve also been god’s fault so I wouldn’t be too quick to thank him😂, your ability to remain calm during a life threatening situation and the immense skill of the doctors and nurses are the reason you’re here, don’t sell yourself short wolverine 👌🏻

Guns like anything wear out over time so they only have so many bullets before they are scrap metal. So don’t waste the gun by shooting it for years and years because one day that’s the last bullet it will ever fire.

Congrats on surviving your rifle's spontaneous disassembly and I hope you get better soon. It's easy to get frustrated while coping with adjustments required, so stay busy and have a great future. A few years back I caught my Mosin Nagant 1891's bolt after my buddy thought it would be funny to throw a hot shoulder buster in my ammo. It's ok for the 91/30 but a full length re-barreled 91 was just a pipe bomb. I'm still missing the outside half of my vision in my right eye, and had to learn to use a different trigger finger from nerve damage, but I focused on building a new rifle during my unexpected vacation.

I'm Glad your ok after that, accidents of this magnitude happen all the time. I had a similar a bad injury similar to yours a few years ago. I was just driving to work one day and got T-boned on the freeway and lost a couple fingers. My truck was struck by a sedan that had lost control of their vehicle, while trying to swerve to avoid rear ending another vehicle. My truck was hit hard in back of the front tire causing my truck to turn to the left sharply and roll over 4 times, all while I was going about 65. I had all the windows up but they shattered during one of the rolls as the roof was also crushed. My hand flew out the window, and I tried to pull it in, but I wasn't quick enough and everything was spinning. My head also made contact with the asphalt, and glass and asphalt were embedded into the top of my head. The truck landed on all 4 tires. I looked down and my hand which had been crushed and ground between my truck and the asphalt, it looked like raw hamburger. I tried to beep the horn, but the battery was disconnected during the roll. I remembered I had a shirt in my back seat, which was luckily still there. I wrapped up what was left of my hand as tight as I could. Because the roof was crushed, the door was jammed shut. This happened on a major 5 lane freeway during rush hour, so everyone stopped. My truck was sitting sideways across 3 lanes, with bits of it, and little bits of me thrown in every direction. Two EMT's were on their way to work and jumped out of their cars, and were able to get the door open. A spinal surgeon was also stopped in the traffic and checked my spine for injuries, by doing a couple tests and making sure I could feel all the way down to my toes. after a long time, the ambulance came and they cut all my clothes off in the middle of the freeway, put me on a board and loaded me into the ambulance. I didn't have surgery for about 8 hours, and the first surgery was just to clean and inspect. I was convinced at the time they would save my fingers, but the doctor told me it would be best if they basically cut between my thumb and pinky finger. My mom was with me at that time and ripped him a new one. over the next several days they did a couple surgeries and were able to stretch the skin I had left and close up the wounds. I lost both outer knuckles from my left index and middle finger, and the two outer joints of my left ring finger had to be fused. I am so glad I didn't let him do what he suggested, it would be impossible for me to lift anything the way they wanted to do it. It took my lawyer about 2 years to deal with all of the financial, medical, and insurance BS. The kid who hit me was 100% at fault, and had decent insurance, but in the state I live the health insurance can claim any insurance payout that awarded. I'm saving the money I got back from the insurance. I actually was supposed to have a job interview the next day, so I called and rescheduled. I went and did the interview, my hand wrapped up like a q tip, and still on morphine for the bone pain. I was a drafter, and my employer at the time, who I wont name, told me I had to come in to work or I would be automatically terminated, lovely. So I worked out something where I could work from home, but they still wanted 40 hours, which was impossible with all the therapy I was having to do not to mention the pain. I stuck around at that job for about a month, and then when I finally got the job I had interviewed for I was able to take some time off to rest from the whole ordeal. My new and still current job prototyping and machining, I had done some machining before but not professionally. I didn't let me injury slow me down or get in the way. Despite my digital deficit, I adapted my techniques and modified my tools to better suit me. I restrung my guitar to play with my other hand, I relearned to hold things, and manipulate things with my hand. My dexterity is on par or better that it was before. Its been a few years since the accident, and one of the things I wanted to do since was be able to make myself a decent set of robotic fingers. I'm 27 now, and 23 when the accident happened. Last year I bought my first house, with a decent sized garage, and I've gathered up some machines, a welder, tube bender, shear, a mill, a lathe, and a big cnc. After a ton of work on the garage I'm finally organized and setup enough with my garage to start recording videos for my own FIshows channel. Its going to be videos of my projects which is building off-road vehicles, fixing machinery, and when I'm ready ill tackle the robotic fingers. Anyways I thought id share this, and I wish you a full and speedy recovery, keep pushing no matter what gets in your way.

This video weighed in on me heavy. Scott is such a good guy who doesn’t deserve anything bad happening to him. Glad he’s making a good recovery. If there’s anything I can take away from this it’s to always wear your eye pro and never skip out on safety/ medical. Won’t be shooting questionable ammo anymore either like I used to

This guy is a badass for surviving this accident ! Also thank goodness his father was there to help him out ! To shove your thumb into your own neck to stop the bleeding is remarkable to stay conscious and make it to the hospital is amazing!
